The Float Base is Here!

Paul, Bryan, and Warren went out to Deseret Transportation this morning to pick up our float base.  Our float base is an old car with the top cut off.  A wooden platform is supported by the frame of the car.  As you can see in the video, the float base can be driven.  We hope it stays that way!

While they could have driven the float base across to the valley back to our neighborhood, they thought it would be better to tow it.  Paul was kind enough to sit in the driver's seat of the float base and steer during during the tow.  It went well and they made good time.

It took a little bit to get the carbureted engine of the old car started.  The mechanic from Deseret Transportation had to give it a few squirts of Ether in the air intake.
